This 1962 Fender Jaguar refinished in Black nitro (seemingly a long time ago) is a great players piece! Regretted also- otherwise seemingly all original. Neck is stamped March 1962, and as it should be- it’s a (thick) Slab! Neck has nice chunk to it, along with some nice figuring on the back. Set up currently with a Mastery bridge but the original is included. Plays great- we’d assume that the refret may have happened somewhat recently, as they are still tall and show very little wear, Fretwire used looks to be vintage/period correct. Nut width= 1.51″ and if you didn’t know this is a shorter then full Fender scale length- the idea being that they were intended to be comfortable for students & folks with smaller hands. The refinish work is very good- appears to be quite old. Purports to be “Factory” but we have nothing to substantiate that claim. Pickup cavities indicate this was likely previously Sunburst.
-Weighs in at only 8 lbs 1 oz
All electronics (pots are “stackpole” dated to 1962) appears original. Shielding plates, wiring, pickups- all original.
-Includes OHSC (Brown)
