Rickenbacker B6 Electro Lapsteel

Rickenbacker B6 Electro Lapsteel in excellent very clean condition! Likely mid 40’s production, as a second knob was added in 1937 and they were both moved to the treble side in 1939. Body is bakelite and in very good condition! Ric badge seems odd, and although it fits nicely, extra screw holes underneath would seem to indicate it may not be original- the interwebs might agree, as there don’t appear to be any other examples sporting this style. Or, did Rickenbacker employees grab what was handy at the time of production? Whatever the case may be it appears to be original otherwise, and it sounds great. Chip case included that also appears original and is in typical condition for its age.
