2018 Fender AVRI ’62 Custom Telecaster

2018 Fender AVRI ’62 Custom Telecaster in original Nitro Surf Green! These Double bound ’62 AVRI (American Vintage Reissues) are among our favorites in the Fender lineup, and this is first we’ve had in this color. These are a great American Vintage reissue at a price point that comes in under Custom Shop but in many cases are quite comparable.

This Double-bound example weighs in at 8.6 lbs- which is pretty reasonable for most of the Telecaster Customs we see! Neck is a Medium “C” profile- 1st Fret thickness = .83″, and .91″ at the 12th Fret. Nut with = 1.65″

Overall very clean and nice condition, with the usual player wear, some finish swirls and on the back the lacquer is starting to check nicely. Frets are vintage small and don’t exhibit any signs of wear. Fingerboard radius is 7.25″

Although the pickups appear original, some upgrades were made to the electronics- the cavities have all been copper shielded, and the pots have been upgraded to Emerson’s. Cloth wire was also used in the upgrades.
