1960 Gibson J-50
Original price was: $5,995.00.$5,495.00Current price is: $5,495.00.
1960 Gibson J-50 in excellent players condition! Some updates and upgrades, so this one plays and sounds amazing but retains all of the original character you’d expect from a slope-shoulder early 60’s Gibson Flattop. The sound is very round and woody- balanced and really resonant. Some of the changes include a new bridge/plate, neck reset and refret. The frets were replaced with slightly wider than stock vintage but have a good amount of height and are very comfortable to play. The endpin was enlarged (from a previous pickup that must have been installed/removed) so this is ready to accept another endpin system or you can run it with a Stewart McDonald endpin conversion. The nut width – 1 11/16″ and the neck profile is a medium “C” with very comfortably rounded shoulders. Neck thickness is .78″ at the 1st Fret. Tuners are original but buttons are newer replacements. Overall normal player wear for a 50+ year old instrument, no cracks/repairs that we can detect. No headstock repairs. Includes (Non-original) hardshell case.
