1984 Fender Telecaster

$1,695.00

Here we have a very interesting (and all original) 1984 Fender Telecaster in original black finish! This would seem to have been a transitional era for Fender- and this US series exhibits a variety of features that were either carried over from earlier, disappeared entirely – or moved into variations to be found on later examples. This is a “Top loader” style bridge- and the saddles (6 individual) are unlike anything except perhaps the American Elite series. “Micro tilt” neck adjustment! The body (in very nice condition) exhibits heavily rounded edges unlike any other era of Tele I’ve seen. This example weighs in at a beefy 8 lbs, 7 oz so she is sturdy. Nut width= 1 .72″ (a little wider then typical), and the neck profile is a thin/medium “C”, measuring at the 1st fret= .82″ and at the 12th=.87″. Electronics, pickups, pots all appear original- pots date to 1984. There is a stamp on the neck placing it at Feb ’84. Frets are original and in pretty nice shape, there is some wear in the lower positions. Tuners are original.
