1966 Gibson Melody Maker

1966 Gibson Melody Maker in original (and glorious) Pelham Blue! This can change in so many ways depending on the environment and conditions…this one retains some blue character while also leaning towards green. This example appears to be all original, including hardware pickups and tuners. Featherweight at only 6 lbs.,  3 oz and it appears to have the original frets which are still quite tall & comfortable. No headstock breaks or repairs- but there are a couple of cracks that we can see that have not been repaired but seem very stable. Nut width= 1. 55″. At the back of the neck heel (pictured) there is a crack that runs through the finish and around the cutaway. It does not flex or move. Also at the input jack there is a crack that can be seen running around the back and disappears under the control cavity pick guard- but does not run along the top or meet anywhere visibly that would concern us for stability. There is a lot of finish hazing/checking throughout, and some areas where the finish has flaked off down to the bare wood.
