1963 Guild CE-100 Capri

$1,795.00

1963 Guild CE-100 Capri arch top in nice, all original condition! This example is very clean, and when we received it we could tell it had not been played in some time. With some cleanup it plays and feels great! Loaded with a single neck position original Guild LB-1 humbucker that’s very lively. Frets appear original and although they have had some levels and are running flat, there is still plenty of life left- set up with flats this plays great. Nut width= 1.67″, the neck has a very comfortable medium “C” profile, measuring in at 1st fret at .88″ and at the 9th .95″ for thickness. Original vintage open Grover tuners. Probably the original Rosewood bridge- fitted to the top quite nicely. Important to note that there is a small vintage decal covering a cigarette burn on the top- it’s a cute touch. There is also sign of a very old (and very solid) headstock repair that does not appear to have gone all the way through- the crack can barely be seen by the naked eye- and is very professionally done with no movement or alteration to the shape of the back of the neck/headstock.
