Here is a beautifully aged 1957 Gibson LG-1 in original two-tone sunburst! A wonderful player, this ladder-braced example is really snappy while retaining all of its characteristic mid-range thump! Some folks prefer these over their x-braced counterparts- the tone really cuts through the mix and it’s incredibly well suited for finger style playing! There is a crack along the back that was repaired some time ago (professionally) and it is stable and does not affect the sound or playability in any way. This has never had a neck reset and there is plenty of saddle so it will not anytime soon. Likely refretted, there is plenty of height left on these (vintage style narrow) and as it is setup now the action is very low with a nice chunk of a neck! Nut width= 1.69″ and thickness at the 1st fret= .94″ and at the 9th fret= .97″. It comes loaded with a Fishman sound hole pickup system that sounds great so it’s gig-ready!
