1946 Martin OO-17

$4,395.00

This 1946 Martin OO-17 all mahogany comes with all the character you’d ever need (or want)! We’d call her a ‘player’, as it has had its share of updates/changes but plays and sounds INCREDIBLE. It has had an EMG sound hole pickup installed (with an endpin jack) so it’s gig ready- but that’s also easily reversible if you prefer a more traditional look to your 40’s Martins. Nut width=1. 68″, neck displays a very comfortable soft “V” profile, typical of the era. There are a couple top cracks that have been repaired and are stable. It’s been refretted, using traditional size nickel wire- and there is some (very) light wear showing on them- so we’d guess sometime within the last few years the work was done. The bridge has been reset (at the very least); and possibly replaced. The neck has been reset, and there is a healthy amount of saddle present so it shouldn’t need to be (re) addressed anytime soon. Tuners are replacement vintage style Grover’s which show a nice patina consistent with the age/wear of the instrument overall.
