1922 Martin O-28

$9,995.00

This 1922 Martin O-28 is a real gem of a find! Pre-war Martins are such a treat to find in such nice condition, and of course the collectibility factor is bonkers! As one might expect for a Martin 100+ years old, this one has had some work done. The neck has been reset, so it plays incredible. The original bar frets have been converted/replaced. The Pyramid-style bridge is a somewhat modern, ebony reproduction and very nice at that- the footprint remains original. Some of the braces have been reset/reglued. Nut width= 1 7/8″, and at the 1rst fret neck thickness= .86″. There is a “V” profile as you’d expect- but not as hard as we sometimes see for the era. Back & sides (Brazilian Rosewood) are very nice and clean, with finish wear but no cracks or repairs that we can see. The top end on this is quite nice and bright- the bottom end reads a little dark, and perhaps akin to more a Mid-forward Ladder-braced tonality. Very dry and lightweight!

-Includes (what appears to be) an original Black Alligator Chip/Hard case
