1966 Rickenbacker 330-12

Here is a FANTASTIC all original, 1966 Rickenbacker 330-12 in Fireglo! Before reading please note: this guitar- although perfectly playablable (IMO) is in need of a Neck Reset.  Resetting the neck on these is no simple task, unfortunately- and as such we are pricing this considerably below market. The good news- everything on this is original and very clean. Pots all date to 1966, with the exception of the connection to the input jack- everything internally appears untouched. There are no headstock repairs or any modifications. Original Toaster pickups. Since it is semi-hollow it is very light. The finish throughout is very clean with only minor signs of player wear. Nut width= 1.60″ and the neck profile shows very minimal taper- sickness at the 1st= .85″ and at the 12th= .88″. 7.25″ radius. Frets appear original and are very clean. Original HSC is included and it also is very clean.

***Regarding the neck reset- there are some ways to alleviate the poor neck set and get the action down lower then it is. Lower the bridge pickup slightly! But there is no getting around or hiding the fact that it should be done at some point. The neck joint-although very clean and seemingly stable- does exhibit signs that perhaps it was done previously (or attempted?). We’ve tried to capture all details showing the angle & action the best we can. But do please be aware- this is being sold at this price “as is“, no returns.
