1955 Kay Thin Twin

$1,995.00

Here we have a glorious (and original) example of the classic “Jimmy Reed” model, a 1955 Kay Thin Twin. Aside from a refret, this appears to be all original and is very clean. Nut width=1.68″ and it sports a CHUNK of a neck that is too cool! Neck thickness at the 1st fret= 1.03″ and at the 9th fret= 1.20″!! Both blade style single coil pickups are original and sound great. The bridge pickup really cuts, but is still warm and round with a very unique character. Action is set up very low and playable, sometimes these are a little sketchy on build quality- but not this example! Also sports the rarely seen Mint Keystones, original and correct for the early version of these.

-Includes a (Newer) very nice Kay HSC
