Here we have a very nice handmade arch top, a 2004 Slaman Model 1923 L-5. This particular builder (in Denmark) is doing some very nice work- this example sports a solid carved Spruce top, in a very nice two-tone Sunburst finish. Back & Sides feature some very nicely figured Maple. Fingerboard, and bridge are both ebony. The condition overall is pretty clean- the build quality rivals many Gibson examples we’ve seen. Daniel Slaman has been building since the 70’s.
Nut width= 1.73″, frets are original and very clean/tall. Original Waverly tuners, and a neck profile that is very comfortable, more of a medium Flat “C” akin to 60’s examples. Lower bought= 16″, scale length =24.9″
-Includes an original (?) Gibson HSC
