1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard

$2,495.00

This 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Tobacco Sunburst is all original with no repairs and in excellent condition! A Norlin-era Standard with a plain top is a beautiful thing. This exhibits all of the classic appointments of the era- Original Shawbuckers, 3-piece neck with volute! Original wiring and grounding cover, solder joints do not appear to be touched/broken. No repairs or modifications! Original Gibson branded tuners. Frets are original and flat with signs of wear (and some previous levels) but tall enough to play pretty well and feel good! Neck is very straight. Weighs in at a sturdy 10.4 lbs, this is not a “pancake” style body. Neck thickness is .82″ at 1st fret and .96″ at 12th, flattish in the middle, kind of the classic 70’s vibe. All pots are original CTS dating to 1978. Nut width= 1.68″. Body and neck are overall in very good condition, normal sign of wear but nothing crazy and color remains pretty strong without hazing.

-Includes Original HSC (Black Gibson branded, Red lining)
