1976 Gibson SG Standard

1976 Gibson SG Standard in original Polaris White gone yellow! We’d guess she’s seen some smokey bars (back when you could do that sort of thing). Very cool mojo, and with the changes attainable. Bridge pickup is replaced 57 + Classic, neck appears original. Knobs are replacements, but the rest of the hardware including the harmonic bridge appear original. 3 of the 4 pots are original and date to ’76. Tuners are original Gibson branded Chrome Tulip style. No headstock breaks or repairs, but we can see that the neck joint at the heel indicates it was off at some point. No evidence of any breaks though- and it is a very solid/stable repair, if not the most attractive work we’ve seen. Refretted, presumably somewhat recently as they only show some minor wear in the lower positions. Neck is straight and action sets up really low with 10’s.

Weight is lightweight at only 6 lbs 14 oz

Nut width= 1.57″

Neck thickness at 1st Fret= .82″    and at the 12th fret= .97″
