1974 Gibson S-1

1974 Gibson S-1 is in very clean and original condition! This is an excellent example of Gibson’s (Norlin-era) experiments, and really stands out as something unique. With a solid Maple body & Neck, and Bill Lawrence designed trio of (clear!) single pickups many folks seems to agree the sounds these produce might be close to a Tele in character then anything you might expect Gibson to produce. There is some overall wear on the body and hazing on the (original!) nickel hardware, but nothing too crazy. Cool mojo. Flying V headstock?? YES please. This was regretted locally (by a pro) and received a new bone nut so it plays GREAT. All electronics appear to be original and we can’t find any modifications.
