1973 Fender Thinline Telecaster

$3,750.00

This is a beautiful example of a 1973 Fender Thinline Telecaster- 100% original and likely about the cleanest you could find. These really have become a somewhat coveted model, as of recent. All of the cool/classic 70’s trademark bits- “bullet” style truss rod, 3-bolt neck, and of course the original Seth Lover Wide-Range hum buckers. Weighs in at just over 7 lbs (+ 2 oz) so it’s really lightweight. Original CTS pots date to 1972- with unbroken solder connections. Neck pickup cavity has a “Natural” stamp in it from the factory, indicating the exceptional grain on this body was not to be overpsrayed with colored lacquer! The neck on this really is glorious looking- highly figured Birdseye Maple which is also somewhat rare. Nut width= 1.66″, and it has a very classic 70’s profile, measuring .85″ at the 1st fret and .94″ at the 12th, with a nice amount of taper. Original frets still have some ‘crown’ left on them- particularly in the lower positions, and have seen some wear but are clean and tall enough that they feel comfortable underhand.

-Includes a Nice (but not original) Tweed style case
