1968 Fender Bronco Set

$3,495.00

1968 Fender Bronco Set in excellent condition! Originally offered from Fender for students as a package, this package appears to be original and intact. They are both in unusually clean condition, with only some of the most basic maintenance updates.

The Guitar is in its original Nitro finish, which is very clean. Hesitate to say that the color is Fiesta Red, but it certainly appears to be. More likely Dakota (which is the most common color for these) that has faded/turned a slightly orange hue. The guitar is all original save for a Fret level, it also appears that the nut was replaced. All electronics, pots, pickups are original and solder connections are unbroken. Pickup reads 5.6k. There are no modifications or repairs to the body. It’s nice and lightweight at 7 lbs. Nut width is 1.61″, Neck thickness at 1st Fret= .87″, and at 12th Fret .93″, it is a soft “C” shape with very comfortably rolled edges. Scale length is 24″. With the Fret level it plays and sounds great. Neck is stamped “March ’68, B”Guitar includes the OHSC (which is also in very clean condition) and original trim arm, hang tag, and Fender Strap!

The Bronco Amp is very clean, transformers are original (606 7 34, and 8316 7 34) dating to mid-’67, and chassis code dates to ’68. Filter cap has been replaced/updated. Speaker is currently a WGS replacement, but the original Fender branded Oxford from ’68 is also included (and appears to work and be in good condition). Electrolytics, Tone Stack and coupling caps were updated. Cabinet is original and very clean with original grill, and original Tube Chart present (AA764 circuit).

A rare opportunity to own a very clean set of Fender History!
