1965 Gibson LG-1

1965 Gibson LG-1 in Original Cherry Sunburst finish! Amazing character, and very open and resonant sounding with some updates that make this a great player. With a very nicely figured Spruce top and Mahogany Back/Sides these make the perfect size for a mix of any/all styles. Very lively and round for a Ladder-braced instrument from this era- the replacement Rosewood bridge definitely helps the cause. Newer bridge pins as well. The frets have been replaced with wider than vintage but correct height and this plays very well with low action. The neck has been reset so there is a good amount of saddle left and the angle is very solid/correct. Nut width= 1.65″ and the neck has a nice full “U” with squared shoulders. Neck thickness at the 1st fret= .79″
