This 1960 Fender Deluxe is a monster. One of the most sought-after amps of the Narrow-panel era, due to its size and sound. This is an excellent example that should appeal to both the collectors and players! Original Cabinet, handle, grill and Tweed with no modifications or repairs, and in remarkably good shape for its age. Tube chart is present, but no legible, and we know this to be a 5E3 circuit regardless. Transformers are original (a Schumacher 606 0 20, and a Triad with no date- just a part #), and this has received some recent pro service where the filter and electrolytic were replaced. Chassis is original and unmodified. A newer grounded AC cord was added, but the original is included. This is currently loaded with a 1961 Jensen P12 N that sounds fantastic- but is likely not original. Included with the sale also will be a 1959 Jensen P12Q with some voice coil rub, but would make a good candidate for a recon. We’d leave the P12Q and roll with it, as good as it sounds. It isn’t going to give you much in terms of clean headroom- but this is what you buy the ticket for! A very nice balance of breakup and compression with a really cool midrange character that really cuts through. Once you get the volume over 7 you are in Neil Young territory.
-These usually move pretty quick, don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of Fender history!
