1959 Fender Pro

They say “the good ones get played” and this 1959 Fender Pro (5E5) is an example of that! All original in all of the important ways, with original tweed that is hanging for dear life! This is essentially a Narrow Panel Bassman circuit with its (original) Jensen P15N (reconed some years ago by Weber). The cabinet is original with no modifications. Tube Chart is present (but battered). Chassis, Handle, Grill, and all transformers are original. AC cord, filter caps and electrolytics are all updated and this is running beautifully. Back panels are original (upper back-panel retains its original interior asbestos). This circuit allows you to ‘jump’ channels together, and doing so allows for a very flexible blend of the 2 different eq/preamp sections. The sound? It’s LOUD, round, and very organic. Classic Fender Tweed honk that drives wonderfully when pushed.
