1955 Gibson LG-1

This 1955 Gibson LG-1 in original Two-Tone Sunburst is really clean with no repairs!! These ladder-braced LG’s from the 50’s have a really great midrange thump/character that’s perfect for everything from strumming to playing classic finger style-blues. Nut width=1.71, and the profile is typical chunky 50’s Gibson “C”. Frets appear to be original and are in great shape! We’d suspect there was a neck-reset but it’s done so cleanly it’s virtually impossible to tell without a blacklight. Thus, there is a lot of saddle (a newer intonated bone replacement) left for adjusting. There is an endpin jack indicating a (passive) pickup system is installed (professionally). Overall a very clean and beautiful example.
