The 2014 Waterloo WL-14L stands as a loving and accurate nod to a Kalamazoo KG-14, and accurately captures the vibe- if not improving upon it! This example is very clean with only a few minor signs of wear (or what we might call ‘dings’ in the finish), and is all original. With a solid Spruce Top and mahogany back/sides finished in Nitro. The fingerboard is Indian Rosewood with a 1 3/4″ ebony nut- as the originals had. The neck also features the traditional chunky “V” with a 12″ fingerboard radius. Scale length is 24 7/8″ and has medium nickel frets. This is the Ladder-braced version of this instrument but the sound is very clear and round!
