1948 Gibson L-7N

$4,495.00

1948 Gibson L-7N (Natural) in very nice original condition! There was 1″ or so crack repaired on the back, but is very difficult to detect even with a blacklight. Pickguard was replaced; all else appears original! Beautifully figured materials. Plays and sound great!

Materials: Hand-carved solid spruce top; arched highly flamed maple back; three-piece maple neck; Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with split-parallelogram mother of pearl inlays; solid bone nut.

Hardware: Original nickel hardware includes Kluson Deluxe tuners with single ring tulip keys, triple paralellogram trapeze tailpiece. Vintage style hardware includes bound swirl tortoise pickguard, rosewood compensated adjustable bridge.

Notes: The blonde Gibson L-7 model was produced between 1940 and 1956, and was constructed with the same body size, bracing and scale length as its costly cousin, the L-5. Natural finish examples were typically a fraction of the sunbursts produced, and were priced at a premium accordingly.

Body size at lower bout: 17″ Scale length: 25 1/2″ Nut Width: 1 11/16″

Includes HSC (Vintage Gretsch)
