1930’s Washburn 5250

1930’s Washburn 5250 in great condition for its age! This one lands squarely in the Tonk Bros-era of production for Washburn- at that point they were not producing instruments in a “Washburn” factory; but in fact were subcontracting production facilities. Nonetheless these are very well made and regarded instruments. This one features a slotted headstock with Mahogany back/sides/neck (Large V shape) and what appears to be a spruce (arched/carved) top. The tailpiece although believed to be original, has been repaired at one point. The neck has been reset. There is a repaired crack along the sound hole/neck joint that was professionally done and is very solid/stable. Original bar frets have been leveled and feel very nice, action is great!
