1930’s Carson Robison (Kalamazoo) KG-11

$1,750.00

1930’s Carson Robison (Kalamazoo) KG-11! Carson Robison was a singing cowboy that achieved some notoriety around the turn of the Century- and this model (manufactured by Kalamazoo) was his signature guitar! The very dark sunburst finish is a trademark for the era of these- it makes it difficult to see any woodgrain through the finish, but this is likely constructed of Birch, as so many acoustics were during the period. Body is in VERY clean condition considering its age. No cracks can be seen, and original tuners still function very well. The neck was reset and this was also refretted- it plays great! Neck is very large hard “V” shape- very comfortable to play in spite of its size. As a Ladder braced example this can keep up with most any X-braced modern counterparts! It’s size contradicts the amount bass and fullness it produces. In addition to the giant sound and volume it produces it’s also really fun to play! This is the cleanest example we’ve seen let alone offered.
